I am originally from the beautiful and rural redwood coast of Northern California where I was born, raised and attended Humboldt State University. Between high school and college, I traveled to Bavaria, Germany where I lived as a foreign exchange student. In 2000, I graduated with a double degree in German and Business Administration. After working for two years as an instructional assistant, I went back to Humboldt and earned my multiple subject, K-8th teaching credential in 2003.

Since then, I’ve had some amazing adventures that spanned four states, including teaching 5th grade in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; 6th grade in Coos Bay, Oregon and working as a substitute teacher in Hermiston, Oregon and Puyallup, Washington.

Shortly after moving to the beautiful and wonderful Treasure Valley of Idaho in May, 2013 I met my husband and together we have created a little family of four and make Kuna our home. Our two elementary-aged sons have both been attending Falcon Ridge since kindergarten, which makes me both a FRPCS parent and staff member!! I absolutely love this school.

I love the outdoors, whether it’s hiking, biking, skiing or camping. I also love traveling and road trips. Reading is my passion and so is cooking and trying new recipes.

As I mentioned above, I have two children and we live here in Kuna with my husband. He’s a born and bred local Idahoan who grew up in Grandview and Bruneau, and his job at Roaring Springs and Wahooz means the boys love visiting Dad at work!!

Welcome to my class! I’m so glad you’re here and love that my job is to teach English Language Arts to Middle School Students. It’ll be a great year.
